St. Bernard’s Church Steeple Chase is an event to raise funds for the repair of the church steeple. Join us on October 9th at Emidio’s Party Center in Cuyahoga Falls. Tickets are being sold before and after all Masses at St. Bernard for $35. Horses can be purchased for just $20. With Fr. Wilhelm’s return home we have to make some adjustments. There will be times when a deacon will have to lead a communion service during the weekdays. During the next two weeks on some days there will be a Communion Service at 7:00 AM instead of Mass. Please consult the bulletin each week for possible changes. Any Mass intentions that need to be rescheduled will be transferred to the earliest possible date

The word “freedom” is frequently used, sometimes shouted in anger, in our society. There are many dimensions and meanings to that word and it frequently is used to justify license. The passage from the Letter of James highlights the inner lack of true freedom that robs us of peace. (more…)

The Cleveland Diocesan Council, National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW) is holding its Fifth Annual Luncheon and Fall Fashion Show on Wednesday, September 30th. Luncheon is served at noon at the Galaxy Restaurant located at 201 Park Centre Drive, Wadsworth. Doors open at 11 am. (more…)
