Easter is a time of rebirth and renewals; a time to celebrate the gift of eternal life. In order to enter more fully into the Paschal Mystery we invite you to join with us during this holy season by celebrating the services of Holy Week.

Witnessing the faith of the people of our parish has been a source of joy and a sign of hope for the future of our community. We seek this continued response in faith at this Easter Season and throughout the year that we may grow as a community of love and service.

We will be celebrating Anointing of the Sick on April 17th and 18th after all the masses.

This is the morning on which the Lord appeared to people who had begun to lose hope … Our opening prayer comes to us in the midst of our lives. It would seem that many have lost hope or are losing hope in the face of this crushing recession. (more…)

The Newman Catholic Campus Ministry’s Relay for Life team will be having a bake sale at the masses on April 10th and 11th. This will help Newman’s team in the campus-wide effort to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Thanks and hope to see you there!

Eucharistic ministers who have not attended the updated training sessions and been recommissioned are asked to sign up in the sacristy for an upcoming session. They will be available 25 April at Holy Martyrs, Medina; 25 April at St. Augustine, Barberton; and 2 May at St. Barnabas, Northfield.

Hot Meals Volunteers Needed: Are you of high school age or older and looking for a volunteer opportunity? Our parish is responsible for serving the Hot Meal in the Social Hall the last Wednesday of each month. Preparation begins around 3:45 p.m., the meal is served at 5:30 p.m. and we usually finish by 7:00 p.m. Please contact Lisa at (330) 929-8612 for details or with any questions you may have.

Today we enter into the central mystery of our faith – the Paschal Mystery. “Paschal” refers to the Passover – the Passover of Israel, the Passover of Jesus, and our Passover in union with Jesus. This is made clear if one celebrates all the component liturgies of this Passion Sunday and Triduum. (more…)

A “Caring and Sharing” session for those who are divorced, separated or widowed will be held on Monday, March 22nd from 7:30-9:00 pm at Immaculate Heart of Mary’s Convent Building, 1945 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls. Barb Vetter will facilitate this session. Ms. Vetter is a licensed counselor with a degree in Pastoral Clinical Counseling, assisting individuals and married couples in healing the wounded soul.
