Monday, July 16 The St. Mary Parish is re-established

with the appointment of the Pastor taking effect in this territorial parish in Akron. A letter from Fr. Dan is mailed to the households of all known former St. Mary parishioners informing them of some of these events:

Wednesday, July 25 at 7:00 P.M. in the church

A get acquainted meeting for any former St. Mary Parishioners, interested St. Bernard Parishioners, and others. The purpose is to meet one another and determine the best time for the Parish Sunday Mass.

Thursday, July 26 in the church

Church cleaning provided by the Diocesan Facilities Management Office will begin.

Sunday, July 29 at 10:30am in St. Bernard social hall

Fr. Norm Douglas of Heart to Heart Ministry will facilitate a workshop to assist parishioners in their discernment of whether to stay at St. Bernard or return to St. Mary.

Wednesday, August 15 at 7:00 pm in the church

The first Mass of the re-established Parish of St. Mary – the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. A holyday of obligation.

Sunday, August 19 in the church

The regular Sunday Mass schedule will begin. Mass time is yet to be determined. Registration Week begins after Mass and at these designated times during the week in the St. Mary church vestibule:

School children begin their first day of classes at St. Mary School for the 2012-2013 Academic Year. School Mass time will be announced.
