Is a program of prayer, discussion, and spiritual support for men looking to deepen their Catholic faith. It will meet here on Saturday evening, September 18 at 6:45 in the Conference Room. More information forthcoming.

Monday, September 6th the parish office will be closed for Labor Day. Also, since it is a Holiday the mass for that day will be held at 9:30AM.

We’re going to open the CAFÉ on Wednesday evenings at our SB-SM School. We begin September 8 at 6:30-7:45pm. This first series of Studies for Adults will be Jeff Cavins DVD presentation of The Bible Timeline. If you have ever tried to get through the Bible but get lost will all the long names of who begets who, this series is for you. Classes are open to all and free. There is a very helpful workbook available for $30. Call the parish office to register 253-5161 and let us know if you want a workbook to go along with your studies. Fr. Dan will facilitate the course.

There will be training for all servers in September by Bill Sullivan, Deacon Ray, and Fr. Dan. This is a wonderful opportunity for our youth and adults to make an offering to God by assisting at His Altar. Qualified servers should have a desire to serve, able to follow instructions, and reverence for what they are doing.

Training Sessions will be held on Saturdays at 10am in the church: September 4, 11, and 18. Please call the parish office to register so we have a manual ready for you on the day of training. Servers at daily Mass will need to know the routine also, so please feel free to call.

Pilgrimage to the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy of the Marians of the Immaculate Conception, at Eden Hill, Stockbridge, MA, September 22 and 23, 2010. For more information call Manena Vidlak at 330-762-1959.

This fall, the Rites of Christian Initiation for Adults RCIA will begin at the 9:30 am Mass on September 12 followed by an opening session in the Newman Center immediately following Mass. Please contact Deacon Ray if you are interested in joining us for this year’s RCIA journey.

The Hispanic Office of St. Bernard-St. Mary Parish is offering classes for anyone in need or interested in learning English.

Proyecto Raices will be held Saturday, July 24, in the Social Hall at 10:00 AM for children 6-12 years of age. Children of all cultures are welcome to attend. For more information call Ada at 330-253-5364.

Hot Meals is part of St. Bernard Parish’s Hunger Program.  All Meals are served at 5:30PM for anyone who needs a hot meal. Volunteers should arrive by 4PM, if possible and stay through clean up which generally runs until 7 or 7:30PM.
