Bienvenidos a los Diáconos con nosotros este fin de semana, Miguel Figueroa y Reinaldo Sánchez de Cleveland. Junto con el Diacono Tony DeGracia de Lorain, Ohio, quieren celebrar la misa y predicar la Palabra de Dios con nosotros. Estoy agradecido que estos hombres de Dios quieren regresar a la comunidad para servirnos. ¡Bienvenidos!

Tendremos una fiesta de la Presentación del Señor al Templo el próximo fin de semana (el domingo, 5 de Febrero) después la Santa Misa en el Salón Social. Todos estamos invitados. Vamos a celebrar.

El 20 de Febrero un grupo de hombres católicos de nuestra parroquia va a celebrar la Santa Misa y después hablar sobre eventos del futuro, por ejemplo – usando el gimnasio en la escuela por basquetbol. Encontramos 20 de febrero a las 7:00 PM en el salón de conferencias en las oficinas parroquiales. Todos los hombres de la parroquia están invitados.

La Cuaresma es un tiempo muy especial del Año Litúrgico para reflexionar sobre nuestra vida y nuestra relación personal con Dios. La Oficina de Ministerio Hispano te invita a participar en un día de reflexión para empezar la Cuaresma y vivir la Semana Santa con sentido sagrado y crecimiento espiritual.

Confirmation Class – Please pray for our candidates and their sponsors who will join our cluster parishes to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on March 11th by Bishop Lennon at St. Vincent Church.

We also collect used printer or toner cartridges, “Box Tops” and Coke reward points from bottle caps or carton ends. We also collect ACME receipts for rewards until February 11th. Thanks!

 

Tuition – For many years our school tuition was kept very low, one of the lowest in Akron, so a Catholic Education could be affordable. This year we have had to raise tuition substantially to cover operation expenses.

Although the school depends on outside financial aid to assist our students, the Fr. Hilkert Fund Envelope in your bimonthly packet is an effective means to better a life. Please consider helping a child receive a solid foundation for life through the Fr. Hilkert Fund. Thanks.

The purpose of the event is to raise funds for the purchase of the parish pickup truck and snowplow that will be used at both the church and school. The “Race for Horsepower” tickets are $40 each and will go on sale after all the Masses this weekend (Jan. 28/29). Ticket prices include dinner, beer and wine and a chance to win a 4 day/3 night stay at Sunset Resorts in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Mr. Jerry Pae of Star Entertainment will be running the races.
