Our Vigil Mass on Saturdays will be at 4:30 P.M. beginning Sept. 10th. Confessions will be from 3:00-4:00 beginning that same Saturday.

Our School Mass will be on Tuesdays at 8:00 A.M. (not Fridays) located at 750 S. Main Street. Our first Mass to open the school year will be this Tuesday.

High Schoolers – With the formation of this new cluster we will be looking to the Teen Program shared by St. Sebastian and St. Vincent Parishes for social events and religious formation. Under the direction of Mrs. Cathy Sivec, the cluster Teen Ministry has been a welcome addition to the life of both parishes. More information will be coming soon. Stay tuned.

The Review Board of the Diocese of Cleveland is seeking two volunteer members. This Board advises the Bishop on keeping children safe from sexual abuse. The Board seeks individuals to represent the diversity of persons within our diocese. Outstanding integrity and good judgment are the fundamental requirements for membership.

All members are Catholics in full communion with the Church. The members examine policies and evaluate the diocese’s compliance with them, including investigating specific allegations of sexual abuse of minors by clerics. A term is five years.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word – We are looking for parishioners to help teach Children’s Liturgy during the 9:30am Mass on Sundays. There are text materials for each Sunday and five experienced volunteer teachers to help any newcomers. Children’s Liturgy of the Word will begin Sunday, September 11th. Teens – You’re invited to the 3rd annual Building a Culture of Life Youth Retreat & Dinner! It’s FREE but donations are encouraged. This event will be at St. Stephen Catholic Church at 44 Britton St. West Salem, OH 44287 on Saturday, October 15, 2011, from 5-9pm in the church hall. First Friday Club Luncheon – Rev. Monsignor Raymond East is a Priest of the Washington D.C. Archdiocese. He will speak at the First Friday Club Luncheon on Friday, September 9th at the Martin Center of the University of Akron. The cost of the luncheon is $15 with doors opening at 11:15 a.m. Prepaid reservations can be made by mailing a check to the First Friday Club of Greater Akron, 795 Russell Ave., Akron, OH 44307.
