Virtus Training – Remember if you are planning or are serving as a catechist, coach, classroom aide, room parent or are or will be involved with children during this coming school year and into the future, you need to be Virtus Trained and have read and accepted the policies of the Diocese of Cleveland concerning the “Safety of God’s Children!” For more information or if you wish to register go to virtusonline.org.

CYO Fall Sports – Registration for Flag Football (grades 1st-3rd), Cross Country (grades 3rd-8th), boys and girls Soccer (grades 3rd-8th) at St. Vincent is now open. The Museum of Divine Statues – Come view our beautiful collection of traditional Catholic art, including 65+ ecclesiastical statues in the former home of St. Hedwig’s Church, 12905 Madison Ave., Lakewood. Summer Programs for children and adults with disabilities – Did you know that our Diocese offers summer programs for children and adults with disabilities? The summer programs offer respite and provide life-enhancing activities for children and adults in a Catholic setting. They are a great way to meet new friends, learn new things and just have fun! to Birmingham – There are a few openings for the upcoming bus trip to Birmingham, Alabama leaving on Monday, September 19 and returning late Friday, September 23. The trip includes a 7:00 a.m. televised Mass on EWTN, a live show with Fr. Mitch, Mass with the Religious Sisters of Mother Angelica at Our Lady of the Angels Monastery. Fr. Outdoor Music Festival! Light of the World Prayer Group Morning Son Music Ministry presents their Seventh Annual Outdoor PRAISE IN THE VALLEY Music Festival at St. Martin of Tours, 1800 Station Road, Valley City, OH 44280 on Saturday, September 3rd. 2^ND Annual Ohio Race for Maggie’s Place will kick off at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, Saturday, August 27 at 8 am, with proceeds benefiting Maggie’s Place — a nonprofit offering homes of hospitality to pregnant women who are homeless or otherwise alone. The fundraising event include a 9K running race, a 3K walk/stroller push, and free kids’ dash. Register online at www.race4maggiesplace.com. Save by registering early! The Servants of Mary is welcoming Fr. Larry Richards on August 21. A gifted and captivating speaker, preacher and retreat master, Fr. Larry has directed hundreds of retreats, parish missions and conferences for young and old alike.
