Tribute To Our Nurses – Saint Paul Churh will offer a Mass on August 11^th at 7 p.m. in Tribute to all those who serve in the nursing profession. We welcome nurses, their families and the entire community to join in a Eucharistic celebration to seek God’s blessing on those in the nursing profession for their work and dedication to healing. The FEST – Make plans to join us on Sunday, August 7th for our Free Catholic Family FESTival at the Center for Pastoral Leadership in Wickliffe, OH. The FEST concludes with Mass at 8 pm followed by an incredible American Fireworks display. Go to www.theFEST.us.

First Friday Club – Margaret Vogel, Specialist in Youth and Young Adult Ministry of the Office of the Diocese of Cleveland, will address the First Friday Club of Greater Akron on Friday, August 5th at their luncheon in the Martin Center of the Univerisity of Akron, 105 Fir Hill. Her hour long presentation will begin at noon with the topic: “Will Our Children Have Faith?” The cost of the luncheon $15 with doors opening at 11:15 a.m. For more information call 330-535-7668.

AERO’s NIGHT for SB-SM is Saturday, July 30. It’s a fun night sponsored by the good K of C’s Council. Mass at 5pm, hot dogs in the Social Hall, then a leisurely walk over to the 7pm game. Let us know you’re coming for tickets and food. Bring the kids!

Please welcome the weekend of July 30th & 31st Fr. Nicolas Jaramillo, MXY, is a missionary priest who was serving the people of God in Bolivia, South America, for many years. He is originally from Colombia, South America and currently he is working in Vaupes, Colombia. He belongs to the Yarumal Missionaries. Their goal is to witness the Catholic faith among people of other religions and to reach out to the poor of the poorest. They have missions in Bolivia , Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, Panama, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Angola, Cambodia and Thailand. Your generosity this weekend will allow them to continue evangelizing in places we can not go but we can support as member of the Catholic Church.

50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration – The Department for Marriage and Family Ministry and the Office for Worship are pleased to announce the 50th Anniversary of Marriage Mass on Sunday, July 31 at 2:30 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in downtown Cleveland. Bishop Richard Lennon will be the principal celebrant. If you were married in 1961 or are celebrating another significant anniversary (55 years or more) of marriage, you are welcome to attend.

Big Band Concert – St. Sebastian Parish will host a Concert on the Lawn featuring the Bodkin’s Big Band on Sunday, July 31 at 4:00 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and a snack and listen to great big band music.

Young Adults – On Thursday, July 28, 2011, young adults are invited to attend the Theology on Tap with Fr. Norm Douglas, “Dealing with Difficult Emotions (Yours and Others’) in Love and Work”.
