Bethlehem Giving Tree

Posted on Dec 10 , 2011 in Announcements

This year our tree will focus on gifting 180 SB-SM Students in our school.  Almost all of our students live in families that are below the national poverty level.

Each child has selected an EDUCATIONAL game or toy or adventure; appropriate to their age and grade level.

An envelope/ornament hangs on the Bethlehem-Giving Tree located in the church.  It contains the students Grade, Selected Wish Gift, and its Cost (between $15-$25).  If you like, gift more than one child.

Here’s all the donor need do:

1.  Select an Envelope/ornament from the Giving Tree.

2.  Insert the needed funds for the gift in the Envelope.

3.  Write your name on the Envelope, if you like.    That

child will pray for you at a School Mass in 2012.

4.  Place the envelope in the Collection Basket, or bring

it to the parish office, or get it to us somehow.

5.  Before the DEADLINE :  Sunday, December 18.

We will do all the gift ordering and shipping.  This is our parish effort for this 2011 Christmas only.

Some will find this convenient.  Some will miss going shopping, and the feeling of wrapping gifts for the needy.  But in order to be fair to each child we had to focus on educational gifts of equal value.  We hope you understand.  We know your sacrifice will be a blessing.
