Holy Name Society general meeting on December 14^th will feature a short video and presentation on “Our Lady of Guadalupe”. Meeting will begin with Rosary at 7:30 pm at SB-SM School. Hear what scientist have found out about the “Tilma”.

Mark Your Calendar –  We will be decorating St. Bernard-St. Mary Parish for Christmas. Helping hands will be needed Thursday, December 15^th at 7 pm to put up the Chirstmas Trees and Friday, December 23^rd at 7 pm to decorate.  Please meet in the Church.

is gathering for an Advent Prayer here St. Mary-St. Bernard Parish at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 11th Father Norm Douglas will preside and Lisa Frey will offer the reflection. This prayer service will give all an opportunity to open their hearts for the Lord who is coming. The Ministry invites all to come and join us for prayer and for the following reception.

Summit Choral Society (scc) will be having their Christmas Concerts on December 16^th, 17^th and 18^th at 7:30 pm. Celebrate the season with beautiful choral music. For tickets please call SCC 330-434-7464.

This year markes the 480 Anniversary of the Apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas.  Once again this year, we will honor her with a Special Mass on Saturday, December 10^th at 4:30 pm.  Following the Mass there is a cultural experience in the Social Hall with Mariachi, Folkloric Dances, Latin America Food and  Dancing. Entry $5 per person, children under age 12 get in free. Food for adults and children, sold separately. Food with soda $5. Christmas Eve Breakfast with Santa in the Social Hall December 24^th at 9 am for the homeless and those in need. If you would like to donate fruits or bake cookies to share and spread some Holiday cheer, we would be happy to accept your donations. You can bring the items to the Parish office the week of Dec. 19^th-23^rd from 9 am-5 pm or you can bring them to the Social Hall Saturday morning before the breakfast.

They also ask for your generous assistance with the following: Socks, gloves (heavy, warm ones), stocking caps, blankets, sweatshirts, and sweatshirts with hoods (all sizes). These gifts can be dropped off any time at the Parish Offices until December 18^th.

A “Night at the Races” planning meeting will be November 13th following the 9:30 Mass in the conference room off of the lower parking lot. You are welcome to attend.

Wilderness Prayer Group is a group that originated from St. Bernard and meets once a month to share a meal, prayer and enjoy each other’s fellowship. Our next meeting is Sunday, November 14 at 4:00 p.m. all are welcome. We take turns sharing our homes during the winter months, this month we will meet at the home of Karen Kapes 184 St. Clair, Akron, 44307, if you need directions please call Karen at 330-253-4646. We each bring something to share and our own eating utensils, the host will provide a beverage. We gather at 4 pm, eat at 4:30 followed by our prayer time together, this month our theme is Gratitude.
