Help Needed

Help! Can you spare a hand? – We could use a hand cleaning the cemetery (anytime); use a hand planting flowers and mulch (May 21st); use a hand greeting parishioners as they come to Mass; use a hand serving Coffee/Donuts and cleanup; use a hand picking up food for the Hunger Programs; use a hand washing/ironing a Server’s cassock or surplice. Just call the parish office. Let us know how you can lend a hand.

Please call the parish office if you can assist with any of the following current projects: the Bethlehem/Giving Tree, our Hunger Programs, choir member, sprucing up the cemetery for All Souls Day, office receptionist, school or church cleaning, and an upcoming Rectory Rummage Sale. An hour or two would be a big help.

Are you a student looking for a quiet place to study, or an adult willing to help out? We are in need of a volunteer in the parish office from 5:30-7:30pm M-F.  Someone to answer phones, greet and direct people, and occasionally some filing.  It can be for one night or all five.  Contact Beth Lowe, parish secretary, if you can assist the parish with your time and presence.

The Ozanam Center at the Visitation of Mary is in desperate need of furniture for our clients. We need usable couches, chairs, dressers and mattresses to assist our clients in setting up homes they can live in more comfortably. (more…)

COMMUNITY PREGNANCY CENTER is in need of cans of Similac Advance Infant Formula (blue label) to help our little ones have a strong, healthy start in life. Sr. Mary Eileen Boyle, O.S.U., will be coming next weekend with the clothing made by Esperanza Threads, the organic cotton clothing workshop. She will be updating us about Esperanza Threads’ project: Budding Sewing Entrepreneurs working with women from jail and prison and migrants associated with The Catholic Charities Migrant Services. Hot Meals Volunteers Needed: Are you of high school age or older and looking for a volunteer opportunity? Our parish is responsible for serving the Hot Meal in the Social Hall the last Wednesday of each month. Preparation begins around 3:45 p.m., the meal is served at 5:30 p.m. and we usually finish by 7:00 p.m. Please contact Lisa at (330) 929-8612 for details or with any questions you may have.
