The Ozanam Center at the Visitation of Mary is in desperate need of furniture for our clients. We need usable couches, chairs, dressers and mattresses to assist our clients in setting up homes they can live in more comfortably. Clothing made by Esperanza Threads on sale

Sr. Mary Eileen Boyle, O.S.U., will be coming next weekend with the clothing made by Esperanza Threads, the organic cotton clothing workshop. She will be updating us about Esperanza Threads’ project: Budding Sewing Entrepreneurs working with women from jail and prison and migrants associated with The Catholic Charities Migrant Services. Come check out their new items sewn by the sewing workers in Bedford. Re-stock your socks and t-shirts with the Fair trade and Made in the USA organic cotton items. The clothing will be on sale after all the Masses in the church basement.

We are looking for volunteers to help unload on Saturday; with the sales after the Masses and packing up on Sunday. If you can help, please call St. Bernard’s office at 330-253-5161.

Hot Meals Volunteers Needed

Hot Meals Volunteers Needed: Are you of high school age or older and looking for a volunteer opportunity? Our parish is responsible for serving the Hot Meal in the Social Hall the last Wednesday of each month. Preparation begins around 3:45 p.m., the meal is served at 5:30 p.m. and we usually finish by 7:00 p.m. Please contact Lisa at (330) 929-8612 for details or with any questions you may have.

Help Needed For Coffee Hour

Please help us continue a church tradition of serving coffee and donuts after the 10:00 a.m. Mass. More important, this opportunity for fellowship after Mass is implicitly part of “church.” My job is to COORDINATE the coffee hour. I cannot set up, serve and clean up week after week, month after month. I have one other person who consistently volunteers. I am looking for 6 volunteers, so that each person takes a turn every other month. It is a commitment of one half hour before Mass to set up, one half hour to help serve and one half hour to clean up. PLEASE HELP. Hot Meals Help on Last Wednesdays

This is an annual event in preparation for the Summit Choral Society Program to be held at St. Bernard on December 18th, 19th, and 20th CALL RUTH AT 330.928.7944.
